Newspapers around the world are grappling with the new reality that for them to remain relevant in the era of Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter and You Tube as well as Citizen Journalism, they must integrate these new platforms into their existing reporting structures.
In a bid to assist this transition process in Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Press Institutes (CLPI) has organized a series of educational programmes for the media industry.
The first of these is a presentation by Claire Fry a Senior Journalist from the UK.
The presentation by Ms. Fry, Senior Journalist of the Worcester News (a regional newspaper in the UK) will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. followed by a Question and Answer Session at the SLPI Auditorium, No. 96, Kirula Road, Colombo 05.
